Whatever you do, do NOT get Ignite. We have been fighting with them for a year to get our data, as we have been doing our intakes through it. You cannot extract the contact information with the intake information. You can’t extract the intake information, except one at a time and then have match it up with the contact information. They do not let you create any reports. We have over 4000 clients in their system, and without a data entry clerk working on it for weeks, we can’t get it back. We have called and called asking for our data, and they refuse. I am speaking at an ABA seminar next week on ethics and technology, and this company and their hostage data is part of the plenary speech.

Listen to Amanda, because the warnings are real. My firm does not have quite the case load as Amanda’s, but we ran into so many issues(more on the bug side) when dealing with Ignite. I would categorize my firm as a small to mid size firm and we found ourselves doing extra work when things just didn’t take or update the way they should have. I would suggest using one of the other 100s of CRM programs on the market like Practice Panther, Needles or Abacus. Just don’t limit yourself to ignite because there’s more out there.

      Adriana (and Amanda),

Thank you for your candid feedback of this product. I’m sorry to hear that it hasn’t worked out for you. As you’ve read in my review, I like the features and believe that this product could be useful in practice. However, it must work in practice for there to be any benefit. I will bring your concerns to the attention of the Avvo Ignite team.

        Heidi -

Thanks for responding. When we told Ignite about our problems, they told us to take our business elsewhere. This program – despite its potential for a great solution – is far from ready for market. They want to sell to those who have enough calls to warrant a systematic way to track and analyze that data, but then can’t perform under those conditions, telling us we have “too much data” for their system. Their customer service – and the bugs in the system – have been a nightmare. We have spent $50k in getting a new system up and running to try and get out of Avvo Ignite, and hope we get our data and out of Ignite as soon as possible.
